Lancashire Education Business Partnership (LEBP) works in partnership with employers, schools, work based learning providers and colleges across Lancashire.

Through this partnership, LEBP connects with young people across the region to create a motivated, prepared and knowledgeable work force of the future.

Business of Lancashire represent in different facts in accommodation, the bridge, clubs and societies, health center, restaurants and so on.

UCLan set a range of halls of residence which comprise en-suite cluster flats and standard cluster flats (shared bathroom). There are either owned or managed by UClan’s accommodation service. All these flats are on campus or a few minutes walk from the main campus and teaching building.

The bridge is based in the student union building and they can help you find some part-time work. More information about them can be found in the section ’working in the UK during your studies’. Each vacancy they have listed has a unique reference number; in order to receive the information regarding how to apply for these jobs you will need to contact The Bridge with the reference numbers, either in person by calling into the office or by email – thebridge@uclan.ac.uk.

Clubs and societies is really good to make as many new friends as possible and a good way of doing this is for you to join a club or society.53 degrees is the award-winning venue specializing in a diverse array of concerts and club nights and plays host to Lancashire’s largest comedy club stand & deliver.

Health center is so useful that if you are feeling ill or want information on vaccinations or have questions about your health, the staff at the university health center are able to provide you with a caring and confidential service on these and a wide range of medical matters. If you register at the university health center you will be asked to complete a short health questionnaire to assist the doctors and nurses with you care.

Uclan has an excellent library which has a wide range of facilities to help you with your studies. The library provides books, journals, CDs, DVDs, and more. It also provides access via the network to lots of ‘online’ or ‘electronic’ information resources.

The multi-faith centre welcomes students from a wide range of faiths, in particular those new to university. The centre is opposite the main doors of the university library in St Peters Squares The multi-faith centre encourages members of all faith traditions, or none, to develop their spiritual and religious understanding as they themselves develop socially and intellectually at university.

Uclan provides a wide range of facilities, indoor and outdoor for students, catering for your sporting, fitness or recreational needs. There are both casual and competitive opportunities in a range of sporting activities. Foster Sports Centre includes a fully equipped Fitness Suite with over 30 stations of cardiovascular and resistance machines. The Studio holds over 30 classes each week including aerobics, step, bodymax (weights), spinning (cycling), martial arts, Pilates, Yoga, Total Conditioning and fencing. You can also play badminton, tennis, volleyball, netball, basketball, five-a-side football, dance and table tennis.

Student affairs service is the major service concerned with student and course administration from admissions through to awards, with overall responsibility for the student record system, academic and student regulations, student complains, tuition fee assessment, exams, ceremonies.

The Student Information Centre, known as The “i”, is a modern facility operating along the lines of a One Stop Shop, providing a wide range of information, support and guidance. It is one of many initiatives developed as a direct result of UCLan’s philosophy to place students first.

Additionally, there are cafes bar and restaurants in university which provide us a good and health life style. Of course, that is the one way of business to carry on.
